The 'Ffos-y-fran Land Reclamation Scheme' was commenced once the key coal sales contract was concluded with RWE npower and Aberthaw Power Station, just west of Cardiff. Miller Argent will supply a significant proportion of the coal required by this facility for the forthcoming years.
Aberthaw generates 1500 megawatts of electricity for the National Grid. This is sufficient to provide the electrical requirements of five cities the size of Cardiff.

In addition to the large scale commercial contracts, Miller Argent will be able to meet the demands of a variety of smaller requirements such as domsetic coal sales and Welsh dry steam coal for railway uses etc.
