James is a successful, experienced General Manager who has held executive positions in the building, civil engineering and mining industries. He has worked in the opencast industry for over 26 years.
He is particularly skilled in the field of commercial management, negotiating complex long term contracts, resolving disputes and carrying out “due diligence” procedures.
Experience covers the planning, operation and management of large-scale civil engineering, opencast coal mining, and land reclamation projects.
James is the director responsible for all of the Miller Group Limited’s mining interests, both in the UK and overseas. James is the board director in charge of leading the procurement process and overseeing the implementation of the 'Ffos-y-fran Land Reclamation Scheme'.
